Christmas is truly a season of celebration, most importantly, for the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. This piece is comprised of a Manger and guilding star, Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus, the Angel of the Lord, the three wise men, the sheperd boy and his sheep, an ox, and a camel. All pieces started from my conceptual sketches, which after working and reworking, finally came to life in wood. I hand cut each piece on my scroll saw. After each piece is cut, it is sanded, primed, and painted with several layers of acrylic paint. Every piece is painted on both sides, giving the owner the option to arrange this Nativity as his/her own. All pieces are mounted on a base, making them very sturdy to stand. Finally each piece was sealed with polyurethane. This was truly a joy to work on and see come to life.
All pieces are roughly 7" tall x 2-3" wide (depending on standing or sitting position).
